Robert James Callaghan (born 20th C.)

“I feel pretty good,” he said. “In my work, I favour the old Toronto back lanes and floral subjects. Anywhere I am, I draw, and those drawings become the basis for my paintings.”

Callaghan retired as a Staff Sergeant with the Ontario Provincial Police in 1987, but he’s always been a painter and a cartoonist all along. He’s produced artwork on many occasions for the OPP.
