    "Monique Journod was a student of Roger Chapelain-Midy at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where she obtained the 2nd second Grand Prix de Rome in 1962.

    She is, alongside Paul Ambille, Alex Berdal, Joël Dabin and Arlette Le More, a member of the group Demain. She was a member of the Taylor Foundation and, in 1978, 1979 and 1980, president of the painting section of the Salon des artistes français."
